Wow, what a great take on our evening. And thanks for spending your birthday with us!

My favorite takaway from this post:

“If you’re in a position of power, use it for good. Sure, you can bully people into heading to another park. But you can choose to use your influence to include and build up.”

Moms really are in a “position of power.” What a great reminder for me. The rest of my week after our adventure has been abysmal, so I really needed this kick in the pants.

Here you have made me cry. Your experience sounds amazing and the group of women, smart, and funny, and lovely, oh my. But the way you work with words is beyond… When I read your articulations of what I see as life’s important stuff, I am better able to be. I feel empowered and validated knowing someone is putting words on paper (you know that tree stuff). So selfishly I suppose, I say, I appreciate you and your writing. And of course, your dolphin pic which is just plain ole happymaking.

Wow. You captured our experience beautifully, down to the very last educational detail (Thankfully, because my sleep-deprived brain must have missed one–or five or ten–important points. “Sometimes whales have to go to a whole new park if [alpha female] doesn’t bestow favor.” Really? Was I even there???). I’ve enjoyed reading everyone’s perspectives of our adventure so far.

Debi, you *know* I am a suck-up teacher’s pet. I could write a whole book on life lessons from SeaWorld. Too bad they already did that with “Whale Done!” pffft.

Feefifoto, they also have overnight sleepovers for groups and camps at SeaWorld here in San Antonio. So much fun! There were Boy Scouts there when we sleeping over, but they stayed in the Shark Aquarium — we slept in the puffin exhibit.

Wow…you actually paid attention? You over-achiever, you. Really, it was way too much fun even if we did end up sleep deprived and smelling like fish (and penguins). And your picture of the dolphin is still my favorite. But on top of having photo envy, I now have total blog envy. Hugs!
